Because it is not bleached, our tissue has a natural brownish color similar to bamboo. This also makes it very safe and gentle on the skin.

Wateru Premium Bamboo Tissue is made from 100% virgin bamboo and processed using modern technology without BPA, formaldehyde, dioxins, chlorine, fragrances, or ink-removal chemicals, and meets food-grade safety standards.
Wateru Premium Bamboo Tissue is officially registered and has obtained a distribution permit from the Indonesian Ministry of Health under permit number PKL-10102910292. To obtain this permit, Wateru Premium Bamboo Tissue was required to undergo a series of strict tests and evaluation processes conducted by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.
In recycled tissue products, Bisphenol-A (BPA) is often found—a chemical compound that may pose potential health risks. BPA commonly originates from certain types of paper, such as thermal paper used for printing receipts or movie tickets, as well as inks used in newspapers and magazines. When these materials are recycled into tissue products, BPA residues can remain in the final product.
Various studies indicate that BPA exposure is associated with disruptions to the body’s metabolic system. Individuals with high levels of BPA detected in their urine have been found to have a higher risk of developing metabolic-related diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes. In addition, BPA is believed to interfere with brain and nervous system function, potentially leading to behavioral disorders in children.
Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants in the world and is not a tree, but a type of grass that can grow up to 1 meter per day, or 30 times faster than trees. Unlike trees, bamboo can be harvested annually without replanting and does not require fertilizers, insecticides, or pesticides, while still being able to grow in dry and less fertile soil. Bamboo produces more fiber per square meter, generates up to 30 times more oxygen, and absorbs 20 times more carbon, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to wood that helps reduce deforestation. With its longer and stronger fibers, bamboo tissue offers superior absorbency and durability, especially on wet surfaces, and contains a natural antibacterial agent called zhu-kun that helps inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi. In addition, bamboo tissue is free from pollen and paper dust commonly found in wood-based tissue, making it suitable for people with allergies, sensitive skin, sinusitis, or rhinitis.
There are many types of tissue products available on the market today. Before making a purchase, it is important to pay attention to the materials listed on the packaging. Wateru Premium Bamboo Tissue is made from 100% natural bamboo fiber, meaning our products use fresh bamboo pulp, not recycled materials and without any fiber blends. Some products, in an effort to offer lower prices, use mixed fibers of lower quality, often containing only around 50% natural fiber.
